Aftercare Advice: All procedures and equipment used in the studio are sterile. It is your responsibility to look after your tattoo. Follow these instructions carefully to avoid any infection or other problems.

Leave the dressing on the tattoo for a minimum of 2 hours, so the healing process can begin.
Remove the dressing gently, and before touching your tattoo, wash your hands.
Now wash your tattoo with mild soap and warm water. Use your fingertips, not a cloth or sponge, and rinse it thoroughly until there is no blood or Vaseline present on the surface.
Pat the area around the tattoo dry with tissue or a clean towel, then leave it to dry in the air for about 5 minutes.
Now take a tiny amount of Vaseline or other petroleum jelly and rub it well into your tattoo. Important ! Do not use too much - only a tiny amount is required to prevent the tattoo from drying out and forming a heavy scab.
Do not apply any other dressings, just repeat steps 3-5 first thing in the morning and last thing at night for about one week.

Also avoid the following:- fleece or towelling garments against the tattoo, sunbeds and strong sunlight, contact with dirt or chemicals, swimming or soaking in the bath (showering is fine). Stick with this for the first 3 weeks and you'll be fine.
